![]() Restaurant Name: Walk-On's Neighborhood: CBD Ambiance: Sports Bar Name of the Burger Ordered: STUFFED Burger Price of the Burger: $11.99 (includes waffle fries) Size of the Burger: 12 oz Temperature: Cooked to order Put on your big boy pants if you are planning to take on the STUFFED Burger (caps per Walk-On's menu). It is a gargantuan 12 oz patty which, as the name suggests, is stuffed with bacon and cheese. The waitress told us this was their signature burger, and we were famished from a long morning at the office, so how could we pass it up?!
The STUFFED Burger: 7.28 Bun: 8.5 Soft, squishy, dense sourdough bun. All things we like. However, you'd better eat this beast quickly or ANY bun is going to get soggy. Patty: 5.5 Despite the unique and delicious nature of this stuffed piece of meat, the patty received the lowest score of all the categories. It was actually quite bland. We tried to isolate the stuffed bacon and cheese from the patty score, but those items were probably the only thing that lifted the patty score over a 5. A bite of the patty that did not include the stuffing was subpar. Bun to Meat Ratio: 8.2 With such a large patty, the bun-to-meat ratio was was dominated by meat. This didn't particularly bother us, because most of our Meeters tend to prefer excess meat over excess bun. Plus, to have a bun at an equivalent size for the patty would have made for an enormous bun, and we're trying to watch our carb intake (#lieswetellourselves). Standard Toppings: 8.0 The toppings of bacon and cheese were what made the burger for some, but for others were only ok. Shredded lettuce was an appreciated touch. Sides: 6.0 Waffle fries are included, and some of us opted to swap in sweet potato fries for a small upcharge. Not the best you'll ever have, but not the worst. Taste: 7.2 Overall, the taste was average for some and excellent for others, rounding out to an above average taste score. Accuracy: 10.0 Value: 7.2 At $12, it was expensive, but after the STUFFED you won't need to eat dinner, and the fries are included in that price. Service: 8.7 Although the servers did everything right, the burgers took almost 30 minutes to come out, which is a long time when people need to get back to work after their lunch break. We cut them some slack, as this was definitely a peak dining time. Returnability: 6.8 We might come back to have this burger, but only if we were very hungry. And it would help if a good game was on too. Want to see how Atomic Burger ranks? Check out our overall Burger Meet rankings.
